this is the story of one man

Yeah you found the footy young down in working class Sunnybank
had a natural feel for the game
rose up the ranks

in 2002 came the big breakthrough

The next 2 years you played of the bench
gotta feel for the game
and how to work defence

Then 04 came the first premiership win
but your mate and captain pricey was out injured
so you gave him the ring

Then Sydney let ya go headed north for Townsville
took up the number 7 Jersey
with grit and will

The mighty cows went far that season all the way to the wire
to the grand final but went down
at the hands of the tigers

But the north had found their man and jt found his home
it became personal
played every game as hard as he could go

Ah the next few years were a blur of brilliance and guts
never let ya mates down never let ya state down
its like he was doing it for us

There was a bit of controversy but you always stood tall
bitta booze bitta women and a series of dud referee calls
7th tackle tries

But the cows were coming yeah you couldn’t keep us out
it was about more then just the footy
the boys played for a region in doubt

Ah times were tough
the drought really locked in
It was all building up for 2015

2015 who would claim victory
the cows and the broncs
head to head in Sydney

Ah the broncos had it if not for Morgan and Feldt
watching that 80-minute try was the best feeling I’ve ever felt
Jt converted and he thought it was through
but she swung around and the game continued
16 all Benny Hunt dropped the ball
Thursto lined up and set her forth…..
